commissioned by the Irish Film Institute — required a modern poster design to celebrate the film’s 80th anniversary special screening and limited-edition merchandise release. I created a detailed vector illustration inspired by the stylistic approach of Van Orton, combining bold colour blocking with symbolic elements from the film, including the iconic house, headstones, and the contrast between city life and the rural family home. The composition was designed to be visually striking at multiple sizes, ensuring clarity and impact across A2 print, Blu-ray artwork, and promotional materials. The final piece delivered a contemporary, collectible-quality interpretation that honoured the original film while appealing to a modern audience.
